Stake.com ambassador Sergio Aguero has welcomed Argentina legend Lionel Messi and his team-mates to Miami, Florida - the home of Argentinian football in the United States - with a herd of Goats!

Ahead of the 2024 Copa America, Aguero's message that "The GOAT’s Have Arrived" aims to place this current Argentina squad amongst the best ever.

After winning the tournament in 2021, Argentina went on a 36-game unbeaten run, before their crowning glory in Qatar against France just 18 months later at the FIFA World Cup.

The reigning World Champions are in Florida to defend their Copa America crown and cement themselves as one of international football’s Greatest Teams of All Time.

As Argentina seek back-to-back Copa America success, football legend Aguero welcomed the team with a herd of goats - a fitting tribute from the former Manchester City striker, who was optimistic about the chances of La Albiceleste in the United States.

"Argentina is always a candidate...but, pressure? I don't think so. I think we're used to this. Now, it's about preserving the style and team-concept we've developed. We won what we've won because of this.

"The players that were part of that process should pass it on to the newcomers. It's great that it happens naturally. The national squad is richer for all the new talent, and they'll keep growing because of this."

Aguero, who won 100 caps for his country, loves the lifestyle in Miami and views ‘The Magic City’ as a home from home for South Americans, especially with Messi now plying his trade with Inter Miami.

"There's a big expat community in Miami of Argentinians, and many other Latin Americans who support our side," he continued.

"With Messi playing for the local Inter Miami, that sentiment grows even more. But there are a lot of Mexicans, Colombians, Venezuelans too.

"We can say that Miami is likely the place with the most people rooting for different teams of Copa America at least."

Aguero and Messi have both shared the pitch with some of the greatest players to have ever graced a football pitch in their illustrious careers, although perhaps none as tricky as an actual herd of goats. However, he was all too happy to spend the day with his new teammates overlooking Biscayne Bay.

"I’ve played with the GOAT, and it was great to spend the day with some more of his kind! If Argentina can win Copa America, then they can cement their legacy as one of the Greatest Teams of All Time," he added.
